BRTA Distributes Tk 6.4 Million to 14 Road Accident Victim Families. The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has once again shown its commitment to supporting road accident victims and their families. On December 7, 2025, the BRTA Chuadanga Circle distributed Tk 6.4 million in financial assistance to 14 families who lost loved ones or suffered injuries in road accidents.
Financial Support for Victims Families
The official cheque handover ceremony took place in the conference room of the Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamal Hossain attended the event as the chief guest and personally handed over the cheques to the recipients.
According to BRTA, the assistance was given to:
- 12 families of deceased victims
- 2 families of injured victims
This totaled 14 families receiving support to help them cope with the financial challenges caused by the accidents.
Strong Message on Road Safety
During the event, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the urgent need for improved road safety.
He stressed that:
- Motorcyclists must follow traffic laws strictly
- Riding without a valid licence or using illegal motorcycles is unacceptable
- Unskilled driving and low awareness are major causes of accidents
He also mentioned that developed countries maintain road safety through strict discipline, skilled drivers, and responsible passengers. Bangladesh must follow similar practices to reduce the rising number of accidents.
